Although 3D/4D ultrasound does not replace 2D Scanning, it is a fantastic adjunct for complex gynaecology. A coronal view of the endometrium greatly enhances the understanding of endometrial and submucosal pathologies and is of valuable use for patients with infertility problems allowing accurate detection of cavity shape abnormalities.
