Covid-19 Update – Our clinic remains open (updated 11th April 2022)

At Specialist Imaging Partners our primary concern is the health and safety of our patients and our team. We are committed to maintaining our ultrasound services and are taking steps to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

We are following all guidelines issued by SA health and have implemented the following to minimise the chance of infection.

  • Masks are mandatory. All patients (>12yrs of age), their support person and staff will be required to wear a surgical mask. Please bring one with you for your appointment.
  • Patients do not need to be vaccinated to attend for an appointment. Specialist Imaging Partners extends our care to all, regardless of vaccination status.
  • We ask that you please attend your ultrasound appointment alone. Please do not bring children with you to your appointment. Any extra people will be asked to remain outside.
  • If the appointment is for a child (under 18yrs), we ask that only one parent/support person accompanies that child.
  • For all obstetric patients, we are pleased to welcome one adult support person to your appointment.
  • If you have any cold/viral/flu symptoms, are required to self -isolate or have had contact with known COVID-19 cases, please phone our rooms to further discuss you appointment.
  • Please sanitise your hands upon arrival at our clinic. Hand sanitiser is available at our front door and at the reception desk.
  • We encourage you to bring your own water bottle. We have temporarily removed water dispensers, toys and magazines from our waiting rooms.

Whilst our infection control procedures have always followed a strict policy, in particular disinfection of the ultrasound transducers and machines between patients, you will notice a series of extra initiatives that we have implemented to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 to you and others. This includes;

  • Increased frequency of cleaning high risk surfaces, such as door handles, EFTPOS machine, soap dispensers and keyboards.
  • Enhanced HEPA air filtration devices to be installed in all ultrasound rooms.
  • Our waiting area has been modified to comply with the most recent social distancing rules. We will be limiting the number of patients in the waiting room at any time to abide by the government density recommendations.
  • Our clinical team will put be on a rotational roster (where necessary) who will be practising social distancing whilst not rostered to work to ensure all essential scans for patients can be accommodated.
  • Staff will be allowed to work from home where possible.

We trust you understand why these measures are necessary to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff and thank you in advance for your support during this challenging time.

With guidelines rapidly changing, we will be reviewing the situation closely and will keep this post updated.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our rooms on 8361 6836.

Best wishes and Stay well.
